Fall 2008

     There has been a definite change in the weather.  Most morning lows have been between 37 and 45 degrees.  Be sure to pack a light sweater if you are planning a trip to WRR.

     The 9th Annual EMT Shoot and Raffle was September 20, 2008  It was a registered shoot.  Congratulations to Steve White for shooting high score over-all with an 89!

     The view from the lounge has been much improved due to the planting of barley in the field across the river.  The splash of green has been a welcome site in contrast to the desert.  We will be using the field for bird hunting this fall and winter.  It is a relatively flat field with moderate cover.  For those hunters in particular who are training young dogs, this will be a great field.  Walker River Resort's hunting season begins October 3, 2008.

      The Resort’s main hosting season begins April 1^st and ends October 31^st.  During those 214 days, we hope to see many of you.  Walker River Resort is meant to be enjoyed and we enjoy having our guests visit.  Your suggestions and ideas are also appreciated.  We hope that in the past 25 years, Walker River Resort has become a special and unique place to visit and that our guests will continue building fond memories of their time spent here.
